Gracie and Monty in the 1950s

1950

Gracie arriving at Victoria, B.C.  during her 1950 Canadian tour.

In 1950 television viewers saw Gracie and her brother-in-law, Duggie Wakefield, in this bathing skit.

Gracie helped sew sequins on the black silk organdie dress she
wore for her solo act at her fifth Royal Variety Performance.
When this picture was taken the score was 38.000 up with 7.000 to go.
Sheila Morris Aza (centre), daughter-in-law of Gracie's manager, was called in to help.

How many women of 52 can do this? Gracie
turns three cartwheels where she used to do one.
This photograph was taken at the London Palladium
