The final photograph of Gracie

Gracie told her friend John Taylor, who took this photo two days before Gracie sadly died, that she came to the balcony every evening and was reminded of her song 'At the End of the Day' - just kneel and say, thank you Lord for my work and play.

Lisa Stansfield was born in Rochdale and shares an honoured name, her reputation as a soul singer paved the way to fame. Grace Stansfield, better known as Gracie Fields, was a mega-star before her time, Lisa is an individual she has never tried to mime. But a strong bond exists and wherever she may roam her roots are in the old mill town there is no place like home.
