Doin' me stuff, as Gracie writes on the rear of the photograph which was taken in 1931.
Gracie is quite happy doing her own housework at 'Tower' in Bishops Avenue, Hampstead Heath, London but she hated
the place.
She said it felt like a hotel and not the cosy home she had longed for. During her
time here the unhappy Gracie ran away to Paris but within
24 hours she had returned. She couldn't let her family or the show
down.
