One of Gracie's most popular films

A shot from the film "Sing As We Go" which was made in 1934. Gracie raffled the cycle she rode in the film and raised £250 for charity.

Gracie tries out this "Weird Contraption" in Regent's Park, London. She said that she'd try anything once but despite her help the idea never caught on.

1934 - Friends and neighbours await Gracie's arrival at her old friend's tiny off-licence shop in Rochdale. Bertha Schofield and her daughter Ada had been close friends of Gracie's family for many years and Gracie would stay with them whenever she visited Rochdale'

Gracie pulls a pint of 'mixed' for one of Bertha's customers.

A photograph outside the Trocadero Theatre, London, taken by Tomlin for the Daily Herald newspaper in 1934. Theatre posters advertise the appearance on stage that night of Gracie Fields - due to present the winner's cheque of £10,000 in the Daily Herald 'Radio Stars' contest.
