Introduction

~ Dear Viewers ~

        My story follows the life of Gracie Fields from
 Rochdale, Lancashire to Capri, events expressed a little
 differently. Dedicated all in rhyme to the most
 popular artiste of our time. Here and there Gracie's
 words mingle with my own, from the seeds of memory
 inspiration has grown. Providing a collection I would
 like to share, and hopefully give pleasure to admirers everywhere.


~ Remembrance ~

Gracie as you sleep peacefully in your grave, I think
 of all the joy you gave. Reaching out to young and old,
 with a heart of pure gold. Your singing was sheer bliss,
 nothing thrilled me quite like this. When the
 world was sad and weary, dark days and dreary,
 you chased the clouds away with your own brand of
 humour and songs bright and gay.  Many artists today
 are admired for what they do, but it will never
 overshadow the memory of you.
