~ Sentimental Story ~
In writing a story it must surely be, about all the pleasure that
you have given me. I loved your Lancashire accent your humour your
smile, and the varied entertainment you were so versatile. Receiving
many honours the C.B.E. and a Dameship too, presented by the Queen
Mother who greatly admired you. Known as Our Gracie throughout your
heyday and still remembered in the same endearing way. Ending this story
I find so hard to do, there is no limit to the memories or the tributes
paid to you.
~ The Final
Word ~
A bonny lass named Gracie Fields came from Lancashire she learned the
way to laugh and be of good cheer. Times were not always easy she had
her ups and downs, but a spark within blazed amid the cities and the
towns. She won a nations love - a world's love and kept it all her life,
with an added measure as a good housewife. Millions heard her voice on
the air and thousands packed theatres whenever she was there. Gracie's
performances were well worth seeing. Songwriter Jimmy Kennedy called her
'a star human being'.

Is there a

prepared to make it possible to get 'All in Rhyme'
up for sale in the bookshops with all profits going to
The Children's Hospice Southwest, Barnstaple, Devon.?
Any offers would be greatly appreciated.
